Building a globally competitive European film industry

The SCENE project is a European Community-funded initiative whose main objective is to promote the competitiveness and modernization of the European film industry.

Led by the CERTH Centre for research and technology Hellas, the project is based on the application of cognitive AI technologies to tangible and intangible European cultural assets, while respecting European values and policies in relation to human beings and their environment.

The project proposes to develop a set of cutting-edge technologies and services with effective simulation and evaluation mechanisms capable of covering the entire film industry process to facilitate film making and editing. All this will be validated through several pilot tests that will allow the development of innovative, scalable and sustainable business models in the sector with a view to contribute to the European ideals, objectives and economy within the framework of the New European Bauhaus initiative.

Epica, together with the 12 partners that make up the consortium responsible for SCENE, is responsible for ensuring the linkage of the project with the users, the respect of the values of the New European Bauhaus, among others.
